The conversation around the Tennessee Titans benching Cam Ward is on fire and while his play could warrant that move, the Titans should not bench Cam Ward because the alternatives don't result in anything that will help this team. Mitch Trubisky is the obvious move as he is the team's backup quarterback, but Trubisky doesn't make this team much better and do they even want to be the level of "better" Trubisky could provide. That also takes away time to evaluate Cam Ward with a good offensive line and capable weapons. Any other veteran quarterbacks the Titans would trade for or sign off the street simply won't be an answer either. This is a problem that can't truly be addressed until after the year.
